Technology Allies?

Earth is a human planet controlled by technology. As human we are in constant evolution, which can be helpful to build a smarter society, or harmful to destroy us. It will depend of the way that we use our technological  knowledge . 

It's 2013 and a 98% of the population of the planet know very well about technology. I am included in that percentage. This has helped me in many good ways as an student. To give you  some examples I can tell you that with it I can pay my bills, buy clothes and learn new things. This wonder called technology makes my life easier saving me  time and money. It is because with a "fast click" I can do things that could take me a long to finish them.  

I am an about 21 years old guy who is learning English as a second language. In my long way to learn, I have the technology as one of my best allies. My phone helps me to learn with applications, such as one called Google Translate, which tells me how to write and pronounce a Spanish word in English. Another application is The Free Dictionary, this one gives me exactly the meaning of those estrange words that I do not know. The computer is other technological tool used by me to learn. This dispositive helps me to type my essays in Microsoft Word , and it corrects my writing, underlining words when I am wrong with their spelling or punctuation. The computer is also an aid when I have to post my home works in the Blogger  is a blog-publishing service  that allows private or multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries, but in my case it helps to share my essays to my class so they can read it.  

Anything have a good side and other that is completely the opposite. Technology is not good at all. Electronics devices and some of their uses can also be a disadvantage for any kind of people in the world. As student and worker, I have seen it, when I get distracted by my phone while I am doing my homework, when I am searching for something really important and an advertisement comes and catch my attention or simply when someone calls me while I am at work. All this don’t let me advance in my studies.  

Definitely, technology can helps us to improve and to look forward, but it can also be a disadvantage even for those who create the technology.  Thanks to all this technological progress we are here, we can find cures for so many diseases and we are as smart as we want to be. But also thanks to this many sociological disaster have past, and we do not know how many we will have to live. For someone like me, It will help me a lot, and I will try to just use its benefits to become every day better.
